![]() Furthermore, the clock rate of 2 GHz is relatively slow. It features a reduced level 2 cache to 2 MB and no virtualization functions. ![]() ![]() Just going to be a little warmer with the added voltage. The Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 is an entry level dual core processor based on the old Merom core. Intel max safe vcore is 1.50v so either way its fine. You may be able to run 3.0 at 1.35v but need 1.45v for 3.2. Most chips will have a hump to get over or a wall. Max temps of 74c full load in Prime95 are ok, you wont see them that high in any other real world apps.Īnd really the whole process is as simple as higher cpu freq = more voltage needed. I have had errors in Prime95 at 6 - 7 hours and needed just a small bump in voltage to stabilize it. But there are general straps for 2.00 - 2.66 - 3.33, the 1:1 ratio is the 2.00 (bus speed x 2) the next may be the 2.66 (bus speed x 2.66) so 297 x 2.66 = 790īut 200MHz of cpu speed is much more effective than 200MHz of ram speed.Īs far as stability is concerned I always recommend at least 10 hours of Prime95. Not sure the exact divider as its been a while since doing the calculations. If there is a 2.66 strap it would put your ram at 790. Unfortunately there are not alot of options when it comes to ram overclocking with locked memory dividers. Before that it was 3:4 (Fsb ram) from that I understand that the cpu was slagging behind the ram?ĭid I make this system slower or actually faster? I don't really know, I couldn't find the answer in any guide either.Ī 1:1 ratio would give you a memory speed of 594MHz. from 400(800Mhz mem fsb in bios)which is the max on this ram down to 291Mhz which gave me the 1:1 ratio, I'm not sure if I downclocked my ram here or something XD. I had to turn up the Vcore all the way from 1,35 to 1,43 to get 3,2Ghz stable as in, it didn't BSOD 5 minutes into Prime.Īre there other ways to achieve stability with this cpu series besides turning up the vcore? I read a lot of material since early morning and I found a lot of people getting 3,2Ghz with much much lower VCore, 1,36 etc. Prime has been testing for about 40 minutes. ![]() BFBC runs quite rubbish with everything maxed, I wonder if it's possible to get it to run ideallyĮarlier today I got this cpu to that speed, Prime95 ran for a good hour + without problems.īefore that I ran ~3,1Ghz with a much much lower VCore and the temps were very low as well, but damn, going 100Mhz higher it requires a lot of VCore and with that very high temperatures(74 max).Ĭurrently I'm running 3201.2Mhz with BUS 291Mhz and FSB 1164Mhz, VCore 1,43V I think. So what kind of increase in power can I get with this setup? Is the increase even noticable? I got crysis and BFBC2 on the computer as well. I've read the basic introduction to overclocking and I'm aware what the terms mean. I'm not even sure you can get any significant changes with this setup. The new cooler is giving me 29-34C(hits 34 when I view youtube for example). 37-42C idle on a 18C summer day on stock. The cooling on the CPU was quite cheap, but the difference is nice. I was wondering is there a profile so to speak with all the voltages and multipliers to get a stable overclock. The E4500 is quite old now and I guess it has been overclocked to death now.
